Unspoiled nature in the Greek mainland. Traditional villages in the nature, old bridges, streams and old buildings and churches. This is the area of Zagori.

Do not miss the opportunity to walk on the old stone bridges, enjoy the dew under the plane trees, walk to the cobbled streets and see the wonderful gorge of Vikos.

As with the other Zagori villages, Monodendri enjoyed an extended period of commercial and economic prosperity during the 17th and 18th centuries. There were schools built, churches in the Byzantine style and luxurious stone manors. Monodendri is built at a height of 1,060 meters (3,480 ft) and retains much of the traditional stone-built architecture.

In Kipoi, the traditional architectural style of Epirus is well preserved, with stone built roads and dwellings. The village is surrounded by stone bridges. In the entrance lies Kontodimos bridge, down in the valley, the beautiful Milos bridge connects the village to the old water mill and Petsonis bridge in the exit towards Fragades. Not far from the villages lies a three arched stone bridge, of the 18th century. The bridge is also a unique tourist attraction of today, on the local road to central Zagori, just out of the village.
