Your adventure begins with a visit to Paleokastritsa, the most renowned tourist destination in Corfu, captivating visitors with its stunning natural beauty. Here, the crystal-clear waters meet a breathtaking green landscape. We will explore the Monastery of Panagia, a Byzantine monastery established in 1228, beautifully situated on the cliffs.

Next, we will ascend through the village of Lakones, taking in panoramic views, as we make our way to Angelokastro. This impressive and well-preserved medieval castle, located in northern Corfu, was constructed during the Venetian era around the 14th century to safeguard the locals from pirate invasions and enemy attacks. Its elevated position provided strategic oversight of the surrounding areas, offering refuge in times of peril.

As we descend from Angelokastro, we will head towards the outskirts of the city, specifically to the Kanoni area. Known for the church of Panagia Vlacherna and Pontikonisi . Kanoni is one of the most photographed spots in Corfu. This charming quarter is just a few kilometers from the city center and derives its name from an old cannon situated atop the hill.

A short walk down the hill from Kanoni leads us to the quaint church of Panagia Vlacherna. A narrow, 300-meter pathway connects the island to the church. Built in the 17th century, this lovely chapel features an impressive carved wooden iconostasis and exquisite frescoes. Its red-tiled roof and tall bell tower above the entrance add to its charm.

After our visit, we will proceed to the Old Town of Corfu. Here, you can admire the elegant architecture of the Palace of Saints George and Michael, the historic Town Hall, and the Liston in Spianada Square, along with its quaint squares and two Venetian fortresses. You’ll have the chance to stroll through the narrow streets (kantounia) and visit the Church of Saint Spyridon.
